The race to apply for exhibition space is over for a while. I'll be attending the following shows. Hopefully there will be discounted tickets available for some. As soon as I have details I'll post them on my social pages and send out another newsletter. I have confirmed stands at the following.

Craft in Focus.

RHS Wisley.

May 1-5.

Surrey Artist Open Studio

This is two weeks of showing. I'm mixing it up a little.

I'll be joining forces with several other artists and displaying my work at Birtley Woodland Art Space.

June 7-8

Then back to my workshop at Whipley Manor Farm.

June 9-19

Followed by the Surrey Hills Country Fair.

Merrist Wood College.

June 21-22

Surrey Hills Woodfair.

Cranleigh Showground

September 13-14

There may be more, but I'm just trying to see where the best places to exhibit will be. I'll let you know. All these shows have their own personality. As many of you know, Craft in Focus at Wisley is huge with 30,000 or more visitors over the 5 days. The Surrey Hills Woodfair feels more like a village fete in comparison. I'm excited about the open studios event, and how that will work out for me. Please come over and introduce yourself should you attend any shows.

So, since the show at the Farnham Maltings I've been pretty busy. I've just finished moving workshop. I'm now based at Whipley Manor Farm on the A281, just outside of Bramley. You can follow the link to their website by clicking on the address at the bottom of any page on the website. It's a beautifully maintained working farm with some units. You can treat yourself to a snack or meal at Maddings cafe, buy wine and flowers, get your furniture reupholstered and your dog groomed or fill up with animal feed and care products, as well as peruse some of my lamps, or discuss a piece of bespoke furniture.

I'm very happy to say that after being approached by the Craft council whilst at the Farnham Maltings show, I've been accepted as a Craft Council member. Again, there's a link to their directory at the bottom of the page. Here you will find hundreds of excellent, high quality makers, covering a huge range of crafts. Please take a look. To get a place in the directory, you need to submit images of projects and lots of information about yourself. If you make the grade, you're in, and can display their logo on your website. I was very pleased to be approached after my work was seen at  Farnham.

Now, as we approach Christmas, I'm getting the workshop into some sort of order, finalising a few commissions and I'll be making a list of shows for next year. In the meantime, you're more than welcome to visit Whipley Manor and take a closer look at some of my work which is on display in the workshop. It's generally best to call first, but there's always the cafe. Follow the signs for Lower Granary by bearing left after the car park (drive down to me) ignoring the main courtyard.

I'm really pleased to have got myself a last minute place to attend the Farnham festival of crafts over the weekend of October 12th and 13th. Where I'll be displaying my range of lamps, stools and a few pieces of furniture. I'll be happy to discuss any ideas you may have for a piece, or just run through the process of a commission. I can also explain how I laminate my curved lamps and show you traditional danish cord stools.

There's lots going on throughout October in Farnham. If you decide to come along find me in the Cellar Bar. Farnham Maltings.
